Ann met us... read more outside the port on the street. She was holding a sign with our name on it. She walked us to her parked SUV and the tour began. We did a 4 hour tour. She was willing to take us wherever we wanted to go. We went with another couple from our cruise ship, so there were 4 guests total. We visited the top of the island for photos, souvenirs, and scenic views of the island. Then we went to the Roatan Rum Company for some samples of rum and rum cake, followed by Mayan Eden, where we each held a sloth and a monkey, and saw the other animals including macaws and toucans. We were able to shop for souvenirs as we wanted, then she took us to the wealthy part of the island where the air bnbs were, and to the party spot on the island where shops and bars were located. We also went to the colorful ROATAN sign for a photo op. The couple we were with wanted an authentic lunch so she took us to an outdoor restaurant where they enjoyed lunch, and we watched visitors use the zipline. At the conclusion of our tour, she returned us to the ship, safe and sound. Ann was very personable and fun!

Mikel’s team was outstanding—they were friendly, hospitable, and made sure we felt safe and comfortable. They also ensured we got back to the ship at least an hour before departure, so there were no worries about timing.
